Molly Bryant graduated cum laude with a B.A. in studio art from Lawrence University in 2005 and later obtained a degree in graphic design from San Diego City College in 2011. She currently works as an artist and graphic designer/illustrator in Los Angeles, California.

Molly has been drawing since she could hold a pencil, yet didn't start seriously painting until later in life; she has since combined the two mediums in most of her work. When starting a piece, rarely is there a predetermined composition or plan. Her preferred mediums are wood grain and textured paint washes. Using what she envisions in those textures, her colored pencil draws out what is seemingly already there; a process that is highly intuitive and organic. Most often, her artwork deals with general themes of transmutation, degeneration and metamorphosis, along with more specific explorations of human-nature connectivity, and female identity, especially as it relates to strength and vulnerability. These issues are usually expressed via the female form, often coupled with animal motifs. Her favorite canvas is wood or yupo paper and she works predominantly with colored pencil, acrylic, watercolor, and ink.
